Glenmorangie 18-year-old was the connoisseurs pick of the distillery's core range in the 1990s and remains a delightfully approachable Highland dram with a spicy oomph that gives it a welcome complexity

Long-aged Glenrothes is rare nowadays which is a shame because - like so many great Speysiders - it ages beautifully

and it's very obviously working: this is the sixth batch of their organic Highland single malt in almost as many months

This builds well in the mouth with enough honey strands that balance nicely
