When this cross was made in 2012

The pitchers are purple and we expect them to have extremely flared peristomes a they mature

We can't guarantee the future variegation pattern on the plant but so far it seems stable past the point where most seedlings will lose their variegation if it's going to happen

we'd recommend some sort of pole or branch 8"-12" in diameter like those trees they climb in the wild

Its red petioles have a bumpy texture unique amongst Philodendrons

It's tolerant of a wide range of well draining garden soils but we grow it in pots with a mix of equal parts peat
